Sayang waktu yg diberikan mepet sekali, coba pesennya jauh-jauh hari, kan bisa bikin agak banyakan tuh :( But it's okay, sedikit tapi bermakna. Alhamdulillaahh.
The volunteer with Rote's students
Chat with the volunteer of Rote's Island
Finer puppets for Rote's volunteer
Rote's island is sooo remote, most of the area don’t have any signal, electricity, and the only ship that can take people to nearest civilization only come every 2 months. For shower, they must go to the river. Can you imagine how hard that can be? I raised my hat for the volunteers who are willing to teach students there, they are the bravest of  all. When you are out there, you'll see how much the Indonesian education is left behind. And you'll see just a few of kids that can speaks correct Indonesian. The others will speak Indonesian combined with their local language and dialect.

The first time they (Rote's students) saw the finger puppets, they were so afraid to touch it. They tought it will be broken when they playing with it. Then the volunteer (teacher) try to put the puppets on their finger and make them sure that it was okay to play wth it. And they're smiling after.

When the volunteer shows them the animals finger puppets, in fact still many animals that the Rote's students didn't know the name of the animal. Most of them didn't know what's panda and giraffe. Woww, it shocking me. Really... well, sure they don't know. How do they know if there were no TV in the house. So sad.....
